First Day at Early PreSchool

Lauren moved up to the 2 year old class at school this week. She did so well! Notice the juice all over her tshirt? She refused help with her Big Girl cup. As you can tell from this video clip she was still jazzed after supper from her exciting day...

Story Time at Primrose

When I picked up Lauren last night, this picture was attached to her daily record of activities. I just thought it was too sweet not to share! I love how much my ladybug loves her books...even when I have to read the same one OVER and OVER and OVER again...especially because at one point she seemed so disinterested. May she always find adventure, escapes, and daydreams in the words of another.

Happy 3rd Birthday Michael!

Saturday Lauren celebrated her buddy Michael's 3rd Birthday with lots of jumping at The Little Jumping Bean. The kids all had a blast, and all the mommy's loved how tired they were post-party from all the exercise (read: EXTRA LONG NAPS!!!).

Lauren and Robbie (bday boy's brother) tentatively try the maze...hands and knees are a little safer than running. No worries....soon enough they were running, falling, and LAUGHING.
Sweet Robbie...His mommy Jill and I foresee LOTS of (relatively harmless) trouble with Lauren, Michael, and Robbie when they are older!
Ever notice how many shots I get of the back of head?!

I promise you that she loved going down this slide....despite the look of pure fear I captured on her face here! She actually took the initiative to climb the steps and slip down the slide several times on her own, but let me know when she was done, "All Done, Mommy".

Happy Birthday Michael!

Dancing Queen

On Labor Day, Lauren breaks it down to some country jams on the old radio in Daddy's garage. Watch her bust a move!

Labor Day Weekend

We kept it pretty low key this long weekend, but did manage to squeeze in time with family and friends.

Saturday after some MAJOR napping by Ladybug (5 hours for a morning nap?!...UNHEARD of. Must've had a "rough" week), we joined Todd's family for a cookout at his folk's.

All three grandkids pile on Papa Fish and Mimi

Jonathan is going to catch Lauren...

....and then Sweet Kaitlyn coming around the bend in the kitchen to get Lauren and Jonathan!

They had so much fun chasing each other around. It was really the first time they truly played together, versus playing near each other. They all were so worn out! Lauren fell asleep before we were even out of the Marschke's neigborhood.

Sunday afternoon we headed over to the Mann's house for a cookout with some of Todd's highschool friends. Every year there are more and more babies, and this year was no different with the addition of Dylan and Haylie into the mix.
Lauren goes out for "drinks" with Austin.

She was pretty jazzed about bubbles with Denise!

Guess the drinks went ok, as Lauren and Austin continued their play date with a Barney video. :)

Thanks for having us! We had a great time. Perhaps we can try it again BEFORE the annual Christmas bash!!

Monday was spent just hanging around the house. Lauren wanted to sit on the potty which was exciting in itself, though she didn't actually go, she did tell us that she wanted to. Baby steps, as we are not in a hurry if she's not really ready yet. {Side note: is it slightly unsanitary that the child has her sippy cup in her hand while she sits on the potty?!?!}
Monday night Lauren explored the driveway with some sidewalk chalk. The only problem is that she wanted to hold 5 pieces at once (her baglady tendancies reappear!)
{Aunt Sarah: check out her hipster tshirt! See? She'll still be able to wear it in the Spring!}
Creating her master piece
All in all, a great weekend, but it flew by WAAAAY too fast and now we are mostly through the work week yet again. Hope all the blog stalkers had a safe and happy holiday!
