Kissing Cousins

Todd's cousins Ashley, Adam, and Alison came to town from Texas this weekend and got to meet the newest little additions to the family in SweetPea and LadyBug.

4-month Portraits

Daddy took Lauren to get her pictures taken a couple of weeks ago for Father's Day and to document her 4th month.

She's getting so big!

4-month Check Up

Little Ladybug had her 4 month check up this morning. Our not-so-little girl weighed in at 17 lbs and 7 oz (90th percentile) and measured 26 inches long (95th percentile) ! Dr. Leonard said she was the picture of health, and seemed to think that she was progressing nicely on all fronts.

Daddy got to participate in shots for the first time...that was a little rough, but the second he picked her up to comfort her, she quieted right down and just gazed lovingly at him the whole way down the truck. And, why not? He turned out to be her knight in shining armor today! :)

First Day of School

Today Lauren started daycare at the Primrose School. Mama and Daddy both took her over there and got her settled in for the day. Here she is all dressed for school with Mommy!

About mid-morning Daddy and Mommy both got phone calls from the school to let us know that she was doing ok and was "playing with her friends". We love that she has "friends" already! ha. :) Later we learned that the morning was a bit of an adjustment for her, but by the afternoon she was all smiles and laughter for them.

One day down and 18 more years to go.... :)

Lauren's First "Meal"

Lauren got to try out her new highchair, and she loved sitting up at eye-level with Mama and Daddy...so what's next? RICE CEREAL!

First she took a little sniff...guess it smelled ok.

Then she took a litle taste and rolled it around in her mouth. That seemed ok too.

All in all she liked it enough that she made a dent in the bowl! YAY!!! Such a big girl....

3 Month Portraits

We had Lauren's portraits taken a couple weeks ago to commemorate 3 glorious months on this earth. Well...ladybug was not that into it, but we managed to get a couple of good shots! :)

Trying to Crawl?

Lauren gets her little legs just a-going. If she could only get her bottom in the air, we think she'd start taking off. She's able to scoot herself forward just by pushing off on her toes!

Lazy Sunday Morning

Ladybug and Mama played on our special balloon blanket this morning since Daddy has been so sick. Lauren is holding her head up so well and can even scoot herself forward when she's on her tummy. We are afraid she may be crawling sooner than we think!

My onesie says, "If you think I am cute, you should see my aunt!" (ahem! Thanks Aunt Sarah!)
