Lauren's Spring "Graduation" pictures from school turned out with a bit of a grumpy disposition displayed. So unlike our smiley little one...She looks positively POUTY!

Pretty Baby Gone Too Far??

So this morning after dressing Lauren in her green finery for Saint Paddy's day, I saw her looking at herself in the mirror. All of a sudden she leaned forward and "MMMMMMMMMMMMMM" started kissing her reflection. We've been teaching her to kiss her dolls, saying "Kiss the pretty baby"....I guess she just thought the baby in the mirror was pretty enough to deserve a kiss too???

You'll Never Guess Lauren's Latest Word....

why, FISH, of course.... :)

Todd was looking at one of his fishing magazine's or catalogs, and Lauren was frantically crawling over me to get to him and point at fish and fishing lures on the pages. The "F " sound is really hard for her to make, so it takes a few tries, but she's DEFINITELY got the
"-ishhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh " part down pat!

Sad Good-bye...

Ms. Graciela is one of Lauren's caretakers at school. Unfortunately she is moving to Louisiana with her husband's job transfer, and today is her last day! Lauren is alway so happy to see her in the morning, and Ms. Graciela has encouraged and witnessed so many special moments with little Lauren. I felt so comfortable leaving Ladybug as a small baby in such capable, loving hands.

We will miss her!

Thank goodness Lauren is moving to the Young Toddler room in just a couple more weeks so perhaps before she realizes what has happened she'll have the excitement and distraction of the new space and new teachers!

On a Bicycle Built for Two...

This Sunday while Todd's sister and I enjoyed our monthly Book Club meeting, Todd's brother-in-law and the kids hung out at our house. Todd decided to take the two girls for a ride in the new bike trailer we got Lauren for her birthday.

Getting Medieval...

Happy Birthday PapaFish on 3/1! This past weekend we joined Todd's parents and sister's family to celebrate PapaFish's 60th birthday at Medieval Times http://www.medievaltimes.com/index2.htm). For those of you not "in the know", Medieval Times is a castle/restaurant where while you eat (without utensils, mind you!) you get to watch a "play" of sorts that tells of a Tournaments of Knights. Think Renaissance Festival, Jousting, etc. The horses and the knights that rode them were amazing, the falconer was pretty neat to see, and the kids really seemed to enjoy themselves. Naturally the wait staff wanted to engage in some Medieval repartee...not really my strong suit! That said we had fun, and we're glad we finally got to check it all out!!
